The Galleries on this page show images from my exhibition at Gallery 1885, The Camera Club, in July 2010.
Abstract Horizons & Figuration
An Exhibition in two halves by Nikk Burridge
I find that I look at the world as if through a viewfinder, always searching for different angles, patterns or forms to produce an image, even when I have no means of capturing the scene.
This exhibition of photographs is split into two sections:
Abstract Horizons
Shows the world from unusual angles, by selectively highlighting details or sections of everyday objects and buildings to produce abstract images. Repeating patterns, reflexions help to confuse the eye, and add to the composition.
Figuration
Contains images of people and places, but with a more figurative approach. Some photographs have been taken on my travels; while others have been shot more locally or in the studio.
